Travelling into Windsor and the Show from the Campsite

  1. From this site you could walk or cycle 1 mile partly along the river path to Windsor and a little further to the show.
  2. Take advantage of the possible deal being negotiated at this time, with a local private car hire company.

This will be the best option by far.

Please note: When you book your show tickets, you will be offered car parking opposite the showground which is on grass and may get water logged at times. It can also get very busy at the end of the evening with everyone leaving at the same time.

Make the most of your stay while on site and local area programme.

Join the Buckinghamshire Centre’s marshalling team at 7.30pm in the marquee. Feel free to bring your fold up chairs and your own favourite drink.

Offsite: Go on a self-guided walk of Windsor and Eton. Map and directions with places of historical interest provided.

Offsite: Another self-guided walk “Windsor Great Parks Valley Gardens in full bloom” A map and directions available.

Out & About

Maybe you would like to visit one of the national trust houses in the area. Try Cliveden House. Glorious grade 1 listed garden, set high upon the cliffs above the Thames.

The Air Forces Memorial at Runnymede commemorates by name over 20,000 airmen and women who were lost in the Second World War during operations from bases in the United Kingdom and North and Western Europe, who have no known graves. They served in Bomber, Fighter, Coastal, Transport, Flying Training and Maintenance Commands, and came from all parts of the commonwealth. Some were from countries in continental Europe which had been overrun, but whose airmen continued to fight in the ranks of the Royal Air Force. This sits on a hill overlooking part of the Thames Valley.
